My little girl is growing up.

it's june already and miss isabela is 3 months old! oh where or where does the time go? seriously! i want to know! in the blink of an eye, BAM, she has grown up so much that it completely amazes me! she has started to do so many new things, even little teeny tiny things that i, being her mama, notices and probably nobody else does. (ya'll mothers know what i'm talking about).

my pretty girl is officially already a world traveler! in the three short months that she's lived she's already been to houston and college station, tx AND she's been to mexico twice already! next up on her tour is new orleans, tennessee, chicago and virginia!! it doesn't stop there either because we plan on doing some more road trips in the near future :) as you can see she takes after her daddy and me, we both LOVE to travel!

milestone-wise she is "talking" a lot more now and is even laughing!! before it was just like this ha sound and now she's actually carrying the laugh and it's the most precious thing ever! she can sit, supported of course, and she holds her head up all nice and proud! my dad bought her this chair dohickey and she could sit in it forever i swear! she loves to just sit there and watch you :) i can't believe how smart she is! when it's time for her to eat we'll lay her down on her boppy pillow and the second you put the burp cloth on her she starts to smile from ear to ear and starts going crazy with her legs. she knows the bottle is coming even without seeing it first :)

she's quite the little observer too! she loves to look around at things and notices everything that moves in front of her. her favorite pass time is looking up at the ceiling fan and watching it go around and around and arou
nd! she can see things at farther distances than before too. sometimes when i'm in the kitchen washing bottles and such i'll look over (there is an opening from the kitchen, where the sink is, overlooking into the living room) and she's watching me. i'll smile and wave at her and she's starts to smile right back :) it makes me laugh every time.

one of her new hobbies is reaching out for things and
holding onto things. as she begins to open up her hands more she is realizing that she can actually do things with them! i've caught her even holding her arm out in front of her and looking at her hand. she's probably thinking, "wow, what's this thing?" we have an attachment for her bouncer seat that pops into place and it's like an arch thing that hangs in front that shows a little star fish along with two fishies and when you turn it on bubbles start to appear and moves them around (she's quite fascinated by it).

anyway, you should see her go crazy with it. whe
n she gets excited she'll push down her legs and pull them back up really fast like three or four times as she's waving her arms around. love it! but i digress, we attached to the arch thing a thing i bought her, sassy me in the mirror crib toy by sassy, and it'll hang in front of her and she'll sit there for hours on end staring at herself in the mirror and cooing and smiling and reaching out for this ring that she grabs onto and pulls on it. i've actually seen her trying to lift herself up!

so needless to say she is growing wonderfully and right on track :) she's been reaching all her milestones and i couldn't be happier! one other thing i'm THRILLED about is that her daddy is finally coming home to us! for good this time! he's been stuck in guam for months now but since he received his orders (finally!) he was able to pack out and ship everthing off. he'll be arriving home this friday!

stat-wise i don't have anything to report because isabela doesn't go in to see the doctor until her 4 month well baby visit. i don't doubt that she's gotten bigger though because my little chubby face eats around 8 oz. each feeding!! she has been sleeping through the whole night ever since she was like a month old so that's two less feedings right there. it all equals itself out so that's all that matters :) check back a month from now to see how much my baby girl has grown!

once upon a time...

i started this blog as a way of keeping in touch with family and friends. we moved to guam right after our wedding, so i needed a creative medium in which to share our new life together as newlyweds. as our lives began to change so did our family dynamic! our first addition to the family was our furry baby, kensy, an adorable german shepherd. then our greatest dreams came true when God blessed us with our daughters isabela and anya. almost 7 years later this blog now chronicles our lives as parents and also our kid's lives in both stories and pictures.
