Bela's update.

yesterday i took miss bela to her doctor's appointment and i was very happy with how it all went :) the doctor examined her and said that she looked very healthy and that she was growing right on track. at almost six months she now weighs 18 lbs. 4 ounces and measures 27 inches! i was thrilled to know that she is in the 90th percentile for her weight and it makes me feel at peace knowing that she is eating what she's supposed to and adding on weight at a steady pace. being a new mom sometimes i'm not too sure whether or not what i'm doing for her is right so i'm glad that i'm doing right by her.

anyway, isabela wasn't able to be seen for her four and five month well baby visits so she missed out on her second set of shots so unfortunately she had to go through that this time. she was a real champ and only really cried when she was being pricked by the needles. just about ten minutes of crying and that was it! in about a month i have to take her back for her six month appointment and then it's another set of shots :( hopefully she will do just as good next time.

other than that she is just as cute and adorable as always! she LOVES sitting up and doesn't like to be on her back or on her stomach for too long. she is starting to grab everything and sometimes it's quite painful (she likes to grab onto my hair and pull on it!)

she's in the beginning stages of teething and i'm already prepared with my baby orajel :) better to have it on hand now then go crazy without it and have to rush somewhere and get it. she loves to laugh and well with a goofy dad like jaccob that's easily accomplished! haha! just this week we started her on rice cereal in her formula and the doctor said that we can start spoon feeding her if we wanted. i think we might give it a shot so maybe sometime soon there will be pictures up of that fun and exciting event! stay tuned :)
