anya, yeeeaaaah, not a really big fan of the solid foods! wait what?! you thought i was going to hold off on the solid foods until we moved to TX? well that was the original plan...i finally had to give in, more so jaccob would stop bugging me about it, and decided to try and feed anya some oatmeal (baby oatmeal, people, baby oatmeal).

she H-A-T-E-D it!!! ha ha, ha ha ;) i told you she wasn't ready for it jaccob! see, mother really does know best! ok, ok but enough with the gloating.

she was just not having it. i tried to make it sound all tempting for her and made a lot of "hmmm, yummy" sounds, but she just did not like it. there was no way around it...hated it. being the loving wife and mother that i am, i decided for something sweeter on the palate. this time i tried nice, warm applesauce...HATED IT!!! she actually gagged on it. literally gagged. i had to give her a couple of pats on the back to get her to clear it out of her throat.

i must say that most of the oatmeal and applesauce landed more on her bib than it did inside her mouth and i am certain that was a good thing. my poor baby! she just isn't ready for anything other than her formula at this point.

i think we'll give it another month or two before we try again :) BUT for now enjoy these two videos. talk about cracking me up! hahaha! sorry baby!!!
