i heart phone calls!

can i just say how much i absolutely LOVE the invention of the telephone?! tonight as i was about to put isabela down for the night, jaccob called me! this is actually the second time since tuesday that he has called (the first time being thursday) and let me tell you, i am one very happy woman right now!!! it's just so nice to get to hear his voice :) i miss him so much.

i've kind of been having flashbacks to when jaccob was on the sub in guam since he's been gone, although i know it's completely different in so many ways, i can't help but feel that same sense of emptiness, loneliness and longing that i felt when jaccob would go underway. the good thing about this time around is that i actually have more communication with him :) hence the two phone calls.

i know it won't always be like this, as jaccob so kindly reminded me tonight, but like i told him, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it! for now i'll enjoy my phone calls and getting to hear my baby's voice, especially when he tells me he loves me!
