the honeymoon is over :(

jaccob left on his first merchant ship today. i feel really sad he's gone, but i feel it more for him and for the girls. i know the girls are too young, especially anya, but i can't help but feel like they will miss seeing their daddy every day like they have for the past 2+ weeks. i don't know, maybe it's just me.

as for jaccob, he seems to be excited about shipping out. it's not the navy for one thing and it's something he's talked about and dreamed about doing for a while now. all i know is that i'm very proud of him and i put my trust and faith in him wholeheartedly. he's so hardworking and so dedicated to whatever he sets his mind to (one of the many reasons why i fell in love with him in the first place), i know he can overcome anything. i really hope this turns out like he expected and that he enjoys his job as a merchant marine more than he liked being a submariner in the navy.

easy is not something i expect in any way shape or form, but i hope and pray that God will give us the strength and endurance to make it through these 90 days. i have to believe that time will go by fast and that before we know it, we'll have our dear jaccob home...at least for a while.

One hard job to another! At least when he's home, he's home. That sounds like a good deal.

Your mini photoshoot pics are cute. Your dad did a great job!

once upon a time...

i started this blog as a way of keeping in touch with family and friends. we moved to guam right after our wedding, so i needed a creative medium in which to share our new life together as newlyweds. as our lives began to change so did our family dynamic! our first addition to the family was our furry baby, kensy, an adorable german shepherd. then our greatest dreams came true when God blessed us with our daughters isabela and anya. almost 7 years later this blog now chronicles our lives as parents and also our kid's lives in both stories and pictures.
