anya is 2 months old!
4.3.2010
my little girl turned 2 months old today...how fast time flies. before i know it it will be 2 yrs. down the road and she'll be walking, talking and doing pretty much everything else that isabela is doing right now. OMG when i think of it like that, in 2 yrs. isabela is going to be 4!!!!! she'll be a preschooler, keeping herself busy by making friends, having reading/nap time, finger painting and drawing pictures :) i especially can't wait for her to bring me home some cute little picture she draws of our house with trees and flowers and butterflies! can you tell that i speak from experience? i used to draw the very same picture i just described, haha! ok, ok, so back to anya and her progress in these two, short months...we went to the doctors on monday morning and here are her stats:
height: 23 in.
one thing that makes my heart totally melt is watching anya smile :) she is full of smiles all the time, even when she's drinking from the bottle and supposed to be concentrating at the task at hand. i suppose she can't help it, she's just a happy baby!
her cooing is out of this world too and having "conversations" with her is one of the highlights of my day. she's still sleeping for the majority of the day, but when she's awake she is super busy taking in the world around her. i swear she sees farther distances now, because i can walk like 5 ft. from her swing and she seems to follow me with her eyes. she's doing pretty good about keeping her head up with no help from me, because to be honest she doesn't get as much tummy time as i know she should. i know that is something i need to work on. come to think of it i think i was bad about it back then with isabela too.
anyway, she sleeps through the night now which gives me plenty of time for some shut eye. actually she's been sleeping through the night since she was around 4 wks. old. i must say i've been very lucky with both my girls (isabela started around 4 wks. as well). i do think she is going through a growth spurt though, because last night was the first time in forever that i had to do a middle of the night feeding...that and she was pretty fussy while i tried to put her down for bed multiple times. hopefully it won't last for long, because let's be honest, i long for my 6-7 hrs. of sleep! naps aren't something i'm able to take if jaccob's not here, because if it's not isabela it's anya that keeps me busy during the day. oh how i miss those days when i could lay down and take 2-3 hr. naps...*sigh* oh well! who needs naps when i have my beautiful baby girls to take care of, right?! :o)
isabela still lavishes anya with lots of love and attention and i can't help but smile every time i see them together. isabela is such a huge help to me and sometimes i don't know what i would do without her! she helps me throw away anya's dirty diapers, brings me a new diaper when i'm changing her, and gives her her pacifier if she starts crying (and any other time she has the chance to!). i can't wait until anya is old enough and big enough to play with isabela. they are going to have so much fun together, especially playing dress up!!!
