did i say that?

NO, it was isabela!!!
isabela is talking up a storm these days! ok ok well not really, but she is definitely busy repeating everything we tell her :0) her vocabulary is quite extensive now. she still only knows less than 20 words but still, it is a great improvement from nothing.
here is a list of words she can say/pronounce the best:
dada
mama
anya
ball
more
down
outside
no
yes
woof woof
meow
moo
o' toodles (from mickey mouse playhouse)
ta da!
hello
pop
*oh and she can make an elephant sound (i have no clue how i would/could possibly write it out!)
here is a little video of isabela trying to say anya's name...
she is now 25 months and i must say, i'm amazed at the little lady that she is becoming :) she is very well behaved, and not one of those "annoying, screaming from the top of their lungs, running around like crazy" kiddos out there whose parents let them do whatever they want. yes, both jaccob and i are strict believers in discipline. spanking is very much a part of our repertoire. i know there might be some of you out there who are cringing at the sight of that word or the thought of it, but in my opinion, only repeating the word "no" or "don't do that" over and over and over again just doesn't do the trick. it can be hard at times, but the end result is worth all the possible headache and heartache. i want her, and now anya as well, to be welcomed anywhere they go, i don't want people to think, "oh no! i can't stand their kids, i don't want them coming over because they're too obnoxious and annoying"...believe me, that is not a pretty thing to think, it's passed through my head once or twice about some kids i know and i definitely DO NOT want someone thinking that about my girls.
anyway, it dawned on me that i never did a post on isabela's 24 month appointment. here are her stats as of march 8th:
weight: 34 lbs. 12 oz.
height: 34 in.
height: 34 in.
she is now wearing size 2T clothes, although sometimes it surprises me when she can still wear size 18 month shorts or something! she seems to have a tiny waist (i'm glad one of us does, hehe), because most shorts or pants that are over 24 months in size still seem to fit her loose, but they are perfect in length...makes buying clothes somewhat difficult at times. anyway, as for her feet she is now wearing size 8 in toddler shoes, and i still have to buy them wide. payless is one of the few places i can buy her shoes, but even they don't carry a huge selection of wide sizes :( poor bela, i hope her feet become longer at some point and even out. i'd hate for her to have a hard time buying shoes when she's older.
her hair is still super curly and as much as i love the curls sometimes i wish her hair would straighten out because she would have beautiful, long hair right now! when she takes a bath and her hair gets wet you can see just how long it is, way past her shoulders i can tell you that!! either way though she is just as gorgeous as can be, of course i am her mother so i am a little bit biased, but strangers come up to me and her ALL THE TIME and tell her how beautiful she is...they are constantly telling me that she is the most adorable little girl they've ever seen :) puts a smile on my face! God blessed us with B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L children!!!!!!
one thing that cracks me up about isabela is that she imitates pretty much everything we do! monkey see, monkey do! just the other night while we were all watching t.v. in the living room i looked over and you'd never believe what i saw...isabela was sitting in my usual spot on the couch, with the boppy pillow around her waist and her baby doll laying right on top of it!!! how cute is that?! she sees me all the time feeding anya on that pillow and she wanted to be just like mommy and do it herself! what a good little mommy she is! she loves her babies just like i love mine :)
