one more twilight convert!
so anyway, i dropped jaccob off at the airport this morning so he could fly to TX for his hunting trip with his cousin brian. being the sweetie that he is, he flew my mom out here to help me out with the girls while he is gone. my mom arrived yesterday afternoon and she'll be staying with us for a week :( i wish she could stay longer, but we promised my dad we wouldn't keep her longer than that (he missed her too much when she was here for a month for anya's birth so he said he couldn't live without her for that amount of time again!).
i knew we were going to make it a girls week full of no cleaning, take out, delicious sweets and girly movies, so what better way to kick it off than with a twilight marathon?!!? my mom was a little skeptical at first, she was after all going to watch a teen movie, geared to yes- teens. i sweet talked her into watching it and to my surprise she actually got really into it (maybe more for my benefit than anything else, but it's nice that she would do that for me! i can see myself doing the same for my girls when they get older!)
i'm glad she liked it regardless :) i explained a little bit more in detail what they left out from the books and it helped her understand a little better. at the end of new moon i showed her the trailer for eclipse and now she's excited for the movie's premiere in june. luckily the girls and i will have moved to san antonio by then so we'll be able to go see it together! probably not to the midnight showing but definitely that day...God knows THIS girl is DYING to see it!
