abuelita paty's visit :)
so my mom's visit here to VA has come and gone now, but i thought i would share some of the highlights of her time with us...
my mom came out to VA for a 2 week stay and boy was it a blast!!! she arrived on october 7th and right away isabela was delighted to see her. we were kind of nervous that isabela would be shy at first (as she was during her previous visit), but it was quite the opposite! isabela was smiling from ear to ear and she let my mom carry her right away. the whole rest of that day isabela kept going to her abuelita for some besitos, it was so cute! my mom's first gift to her was this adorable, little yellow purse and isabela took to it like nobody's business :) after her nighttime bath she dressed herself up with a necklace and the purse as accessories...it was precious!

abuelita, being the charmful, graceful and always elegant person that she is, got isabela her very own watch! it's a hello kitty watch and isabela absolutely loves it! since the moment we gave it to her at target she wouldn't stop smiling and well, you can imagine how she's been with it ever since. here is a picture of isabela and her abuelita admiring her new accessory ;)
here is another picture of isabela with yet another accessory, my mom's reading glasses :) i tell you, she is a girl through and through!
one of my favorite things to do during the fall is taking isabela to the pumpkin patch so she can take some pictures among the pumpkins :) since my mom was here visiting i thought it would be the perfect outside activity for us to do on the weekend and a great opportunity for some photo ops! well...let's just say isabela was not the model we had hoped for. she didn't want to sit still for more than 2 seconds and she definitely was not in the mood to look at the camera and smile. i did everything i could to make her smile, but she was not having it! talk about a very frustrated, not so happy, hormonal pregnant mom :/ i couldn't help but cry because i just wanted one perfect picture of isabela among the pumpkins on her second time coming out here (last time was last year when isabela was only 7 months). oh well, i guess next year will be our lucky year! besides we'll be living in san antonio by then, YES!!!!
isabela with her daddy at the pumpkin patch!

it was a miracle jaccob was able to get this picture, the only time isabela smiled :/before we knew it it was time for my mom to head back to TX :( buuuuuut, the good news was that isabela and i were going back with her!!! one night while my mom was talking to my dad, isabela got to "talk" to him over the speakerphone. jaccob knew that it had been some months since my dad had seen his isabelita so he told me to go home for 2 weeks since it would be my last chance to fly home before the baby is born in january...i was so thrilled! i couldn't believe i was going home! yay! it really was a surprise to go home since i had ruled it out a while back ago. i just really didn't want to have to travel alone with isabela, being 6 months pregnant at that. the good thing was though that we were able to be on both legs of the flight with my mom so she helped me out tremendously with isabela! i would have to fly back to VA alone, which i was dreading, but in the end it all turned out perfectly! not only did i not have to change planes in atlanta, but on both legs of the flight, i had an extra seat beside me so isabela could sit on her own and not on my lap!!! thank goodness for that...talk about an uncomfortable situation diverted :) thanks again delta airlines!
