keeping up with the kologinczaks: three years old!!!

isabela turned three years old today!!! i'm so amazed. she is such a big girl now. she has blossomed so much in these last couple of months and i couldn't be more proud of her! she continues to make us laugh and puts a smile on our face :) she LOVES to dance and she loves music...i am always catching her singing in the car or singing along to songs on the t.v. one of her favorite songs is the golden girls theme and fireworks by katy perry. could it be that i have a future artist on my hands? i wouldn't be surprised. my family has/had some pretty amazing singers: my aunts gaby and martha, and my grandfather max, who was also a wonderful guitar player. she has talent running through her veins, that's for sure!

she is talking more and more every day and it's such music to my ears! it's not that long ago that i was worried because of her lack of speech. luckily for me i can put those worries to rest. she is putting more and more words together and talking in complete sentences. her vocabulary is expanding so much and don't even get me started on her repeating EVERYTHING we say! she is such the little chatter box!!!

anyway, going back to her birthday, today isabela went to school and had a fun filled day complete with cupcakes, gifts and balloons!!! did i mention that they had a luau and all the kiddos got to wear tropical/island wear and received leis?! yup. it was definitely a day of celebration! isabela got a paper crown to wear that read- "happy birthday isabela" and she wouldn't take it off!

when we got home i gave her her birthday presents (a baby alive doll and a plush Disney princess blanket) and her cards :) she absolutely LOVED them! isabela was so happy and excited that afterward she proceeded to tell me, "Oh thanks momma! Thanks for my birthday!" OMG! can i just say that my heart COMPLETELY and UTTERLY melted!!!!!! i love her so much! i think back to the day she was born and i remember the instant, unconditional love i felt for her the first time i saw her and held her in my arms. she is such a blessing to me and to everyone around her. she is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me (along with my anya bear).

isabela had a wonderful birthday and i couldn't have asked for more than to see her face light up :) she ended her 3rd birthday with some homemade spaghetti and meatballs and some quality time with family! gotta love it!
