sick on easter :(

i wish i could say that this easter was isabela's best one yet but my poor baby was so sick! she first got sick early saturday morning around 4 a.m. she was vomiting mucus for like five hours straight and we had to take a trip to the doctors. the doctor said she had a bronchial infection (i which of course didn't think she had, but who am i to say, i'm no doctor) so he prescribed her antibiotics. she seemed to do better throughout the rest of the day and thankfully we had a good start on sunday morning. we both even got all dolled up and went to easter mass :) i thought she was pretty much going to be o.k. but then later on in the afternoon she started vomiting everything up and having bad diarrhea :( she hadn't wanted anything to drink and she had like two wet diapers in the whole day so we were afraid she had become dehydrated. we eventually had to take a trip to the emergency room which did not make us happy in the slightest. turns out though that she had like a stomach flu and they said she would be alright!!! they made sure she had taken in some liquids via a grape flavored popsicle and then sent us home with some anti-vomiting medication. so there you have it...no easter bunny, no easter egg hunt and no candy. on the plus side though, i did manage to snap a photo of my bela looking beautiful in her easter dress that she sported at church :) thank heavens for that!!! i do have a picture of her in the e.r. wearing one of those cute little hospital gowns but it's on my cell phone. i'll try and figure out how to post it on here so you can see isabela being brave at the hospital :)
