Thanksgiving in TN!
Looking stunning in her dress!
Jaccob, Isabela, Kensy and me made the 10 hour plus drive to Tullahoma for Thanksgiving with Jaccob's family. I was hoping that it was going to be a cold, maybe even frosty time there but it was barely even in the 50's or 60's! So much for my winter wonderland dream coming true! Anyway, we were really happy to be there celebrating Isabela's first Thanksgiving with her Papa and Nana. We were even more happy to be there when the following morning after we arrived Aunt Tanta, Stephen and Ashley showed up too :) This was the first time we all saw Jaccob's dads new house all finished and decorated! After a long time coming it truly turned out beautiful! It has lots and lots of space, especially because there are all these grandkids that are being born...there has to be plenty of room for all the TOYS!!!

Awww, Izzy and her Uncle Stephen
We went out a couple of times, well Jaccob more than me, but the case is we got to get out of the house and enjoy ourselves sans baby :) Don't get me wrong we love our Isabela like crazy but sometimes you just gotta get back out there so you can stay sane! A few times going out like we don't have a care in the world never hurt nobody ;) So anyway, after a couple of days we were more than ready to truck it back to VA although we would have been more eager to go home if we were actually going HOME to Texas, buuuut that's a whole nother post! Anywho, being the geniuses that we are we decided to head home on Saturday so that we could avoid everybody else trying to make it home after Thanksgiving break...boy were we in for a HUGE surprise!!! It turned out that EVERYBODY else had the genius idea because the traffic was horrific!!! Not only did it take us like 15 hours to get home but we were stuck in that horrible, bumper to bumper traffic that is a nightmare to sit in let alone drive in :( I felt even worse for Jaccob because he was the one driving, and seeing as how our Xterra is a standard you can only imagine how tired his legs and feet must of been. Ugh. I was in the back with Isabela trying to sleep but it was frankly quite impossible. Eventually though we did make it home safe and sound and ultimately isn't that what's more important??
On a much lighter note, I almost forgot to mention that my in-laws got me (well us if we're being technical!) a FABULOUS Kitchen Aid 4 1/2 quart MIXER!!! How sweet is that?!?! I had wanted one so bad for so long but could never get the cojones enough to go out and buy one for myself! Luckily, Jaccob's parents are so nice and giving that they granted my wish list and bought me one! In the past I really wasn't one to bake a lot of things but with this new bad boy who knows what's in store...watch out Martha Stewart, here I come!!!
Some yummy Mexican wedding cookies I made with my mixer :)
