and the baby is...

so jaccob and i went to my appointment yesterday for my ultrasound with radiology and we found out that it's another GIRL for us! we are really happy and excited about meeting our new daughter :) now isabela will have a baby sister to play with and dress up like her baby doll! i'm also very happy that jaccob was able to go to the appointment with me! with isabela he had to stand duty on the submarine so he wasn't able to ask for time off...you can see now why i'm loving this shore tour of his and not the crappy sea tour where you aren't able to have a life! but anywho, we were able to see our baby moving around like crazy on the screen and i'm relieved that everything is fine...that she's growing accordingly and that she's healthy! i was a bit nervous because i haven't really been able to feel her moving or kicking a lot but the tech told me that i have an anterior placenta so it's cushioning all those movements. that's nice to know. i hate freaking myself out! haha! the tech also told us that she weighs approximately 13 oz. (which is around what she should weigh at this point), although according to babycenter.com at around 20 weeks the baby should be around 10 1/2 oz.! i guess it's another big baby for us ;) hopefully she won't be a full 9 lb. 9 oz. like isabela was!!!

once we found out we were having another girl i put the wheels in motion to pick out the perfect name for her :) seeing as how i'm not very patient i didn't stop until i made a list of all the spanish and polish names i liked. jaccob pretty much lets me pick whatever names i like and then he lets me know if he doesn't like one. when i was pregnant with isabela one of the polish names i liked was anya. my whole family pretty much wanted me to go with that name for isabela but i decided to go with kasia instead...well, i decided this time around to go with it! jaccob and i have decided to name our daughter anya cecilia kologinczak! jaccob was actually the one to chose the name cecilia and i really liked it so we went with it :)

once upon a time...

i started this blog as a way of keeping in touch with family and friends. we moved to guam right after our wedding, so i needed a creative medium in which to share our new life together as newlyweds. as our lives began to change so did our family dynamic! our first addition to the family was our furry baby, kensy, an adorable german shepherd. then our greatest dreams came true when God blessed us with our daughters isabela and anya. almost 7 years later this blog now chronicles our lives as parents and also our kid's lives in both stories and pictures.
